
Travelling from Argentina
Documents required for traveling:
- D.N.I (National ID), ID card issued by the Argentine Federal Police, or Passport (valid and in good condition).
- To travel with your own vehicle you will be requested: vehicle ownership card in your name or a notarized power of attorney legalized by the Civil Law Notaries’ Association.
- License plate letter and number must be engraved on window glass.
(General Resolution 956/00 AFIP).
Passengers under 21: valid ID, legalized minor permit showing, if the passenger is under 18, name of receiving person and place of destination.
Unaccompanied minors: (Resolution 31.100-2005 as of 08/16/05): full name, ID number and address of receiving person. Specify place of destination.
Accompanied minors: full name, ID number and address of accompanying person. Specify place of destination.
Children under 6: their names will be entered into a special record kept for that purpose by the National Migration Office.
If accompanied by their parents: valid ID, family book and/or original birth certificate.
Minor permits issued before Resolution 31.100 of 08/01/05 will be valid until 03/31/2006.
Travelling from Uruguay
IMPORTANT REGULATIONS
Passengers traveling by bus combination from Montevideo to Colonia/Buenos Aires should arrive 15 minutes before departure at Tres Cruces terminal’s bus line counters 28/29 (intersection Artigas Blvd. and Italia Ave.); passengers departing directly from the port of Colonia should arrive 45 minutes before vessel departure. Please note that 15 minutes before departure passenger lists are closed and boarding will not be allowed.
Documents required for traveling:
- ID card or passport, valid and in good condition; to travel with your own vehicle, vehicle ownership card in your name or otherwise, notarized letter of attorney.
If passengers fail to arrive on the date and at the time specified on the ticket, the ticket will be no longer good.To avoid invalidation of your ticket, it should be “open dated” at least 2 hours before the scheduled time. SeaCat Colonia will not be liable for loss or theft of tickets.
Passengers traveling with Uruguayan IDs are required to pay a fee for Uruguay’s Fund for Tourism Promotion Abroad, Law 17,555.
MIGRATION REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSENGERS UNDER 18
- If unaccompanied, ID card and Minor Permit issued by the National Migration Office (Misiones Street between Cerrito and Piedras Streets).
- If accompanied by their parents, Family Book and ID card.
- If accompanied by only one parent, Minor Permit and ID card. If one parent is dead and the minor is accompanied by the other parent, ID card, Family Book and Death Certificate of the deceased parent.
- Illegitimate children accompanied by the parent exercising parental authority, ID card and birth certificate. Unaccompanied illegitimate minors are required to submit Minor Permit.
- Passengers under 18 traveling with passport are exempt from these requirements.
Seacat Colonia waives any liability whatsoever if the passenger fails to comply with any of these obligations; any extraordinary expense will be borne by the passenger.
